Discus - "Topaz Turqs" - Amazing Surrogates in BELLI PARK, Queensland for sale

Surrogates for raising discus.
These large, healthy discus are ?Topaz Turqs.? They were sold to me as a pair. However, they are both females. They interestingly lay eggs on a regular basis and guard them. However, give them a set of eggs that actually are fertilized, and they desert their own and focus on the real thing.
They are worth their weight in gold for raising babies from eggs. I usually put a mesh guard on fertile eggs until they are clearly at wiggler stage, then remove the guard.
What is brilliant with these ladies, is that they are big and dark and free swimmers attach day 1. They do an impeccable job. I?ve usually leave babies with them until about 3 weeks and then move them.
Initially, when the fry are very young, they are very protective ? by the time they are 3-4 weeks old ? they are eager to be done and happy with having you catch them and get them out.
A week or so break to recoup and they are ready for more.
We would like to see whoever grabs this ?pair? also grab one or both of the breeding pairs we?ve listed.
Currently, these ladies are with some of our Orange Dragons? eggs as of today 28/9/13.
As you can see ? just one of the 2 ladies has their eggs on the white PVC pipe (obviously not fertilized). They?d also be amazing breeders with the right male. We?ve chosen to have them raise young, which they are brilliant at.
$600 for these ladies. They are worth their weight in gold!
