HISTORY OF THIS KAYAK
This Mirage 730 was purchased off the factory floor, brand new in 2007. We have paddled it on a month long expedition from Southport to Yepoon in all kinds of conditions and it handled even better than both our expectations. We can truly vouch for the stability and comfort of this kayak. We love it so much we would carry up the beach after a full day's (6-10hr) paddling, never dragging it along the sand. We have taken a lot of pride in protecting the finish. Due to unavoidable normal wear, we have recently repainted the hull with a poly-urethane marine finish.
We fit all of our requirements for a month (refilling water along the way) in the generous storage compartments forward and aft, and we carried a full first aid and fiberglass repair kit too (which we didn't need to use).
This vessel has also been used for a 3 wk solo paddle from Bowen to Cairns and performed just as efficiently with one proficient paddler onboard. The added speed of the kite is even more noticeable paddling solo, when you can just sit back, relax and steer your way to tropical island paradise with the foot pedals!
Regretful sale, but we are moving and cannot take it with us.
